(I've put the date as when she was found, from the link it seems she could have been murdered as early as Friday 12th May).

Another arrest.

This happened very near to my friends house. She knows someone who knew Sinead and says there was an affair going on. A convoluted source I know. We shall see.

Also, the IPCC are investigating:
_______________

West Yorkshire Police referred the matter to the IPCC shortly afterwards, as Ms Wooding had made a 999 call to West Yorkshire Police on May 10.

Today the IPCC confirmed it had decided to independently investigate the force's response to this call, and any subsequent actions taken by police up to the discovery of her body.

A MOTHER-of-four was murdered by her husband and his friend in a suspected knife and hammer attack at a house in Leeds, a jury was told. Prosecutors claim her husband Akshar Ali, 27, and his friend Yasmin Ahmed, 27, murdered her at Ahmed’s home in Reginald Mount Potternewton before the body was stored in the cellar for two days.

The court heard Miss Wooding and Ali had argued after drinking during a party at the house on Thursday May 11. Prosecutor Nicholas Campbell QC said Miss Wooding had started to convert to the Islamic faith and changed her name to Zakirah before she met Akshar Ali, who worked on a food stall at Leeds indoor market. The court heard the couple signed a marriage contract after an Islamic Nikah ceremony in February 2015. Mr Campbell said it was a “volatile” and sometimes violent relationship and that Miss Wooding had continued to visit a female friend and her family after he had “forbidden her from visiting.

So just to clarify the relationships and various roles of the defendants in the murder

Akshar Ali, 27, was the husband.
Yasmin Ahmed, 27, was the husband's friend.

They stand jointly accused of the murder. Sinead had multiple stab wounds and was also hit on the head repeatedly with a claw hammer.

Aktahr Bi, 45, is the husband's mother, and stands accused of making arrangements to dispose of Sinead's body, which had lain in the cellar for two days.

Asim Ali, 21, is the husband's brother accused of finding a vehicle to move the body and assisting in the disposal and burning of the body.

Vicky Briggs, 25, is Yasmin Ahmed's friend accused of helping to clean up and burn material after the murder.

Opening the prosecution case, Nicholas Campbell QC told the jury that in the early hours of Sunday May 14 student Lydia Gunning, a neighbour on Reginald Mount, was woken by the sound of car doors being opened and closed in the street outside her bedroom window.

Mr Campbell said: "About five minutes after that she saw the same two people coming out of the back entrance of number three. "They were carrying what looked to her like a body. Each was carrying their own end of the body and both were struggling to do it. "The body appeared to Miss Gunning to have been wrapped in a sheet or maybe some carpet. She saw them carry the body out of the yard and place it into the boot of the Golf.

Others at the house suddenly heard a bang from the kitchen where they had been arguing. The court was told that Ms Ahmed went to check and returned saying that Ms Wooding had stumbled into a door but everything was OK.

Shortly afterwards Mr Ali told everybody that Ms Wooding had left the house. “In fact Sinead Wooding never left that property alive, as the evidence will reveal she was murdered there,” Mr Campbell told the court.

He told the jury that she had been incapacitated and was killed later, adding: “She was stabbed several times with at least one sharp bladed instrument, almost definitely a knife. One of those stab wounds almost completely transected her trachea her windpipe.

“If she was conscious at that time of the stabbing, she would have been prevented from crying out, but she was also repeatedly hit about the head and those blows caused her skull to be fractured in several places.”

A Home Office pathologist concluded that several skull fractures were caused by at least one claw hammer.

Mr Campbell said that a blood stain on the cellar floor along with numerous blood spots on walls matched Ms Wooding’s DNA. He said that after being stored for two days, her body was “then wrapped up, bound with wire and carried out of the cellar late at night under cover of darkness”.

I thought the party was on the 11th and she was murdered on the 12th.

I thought the party was on the 11th and she was murdered on the 12th.
Hmm, not sure. It sounds as though at least the initial attack was during the party. Or maybe it was after midnight?

Unless I've read it wrong, or it's worded badly, I have no idea what's going on with the dates now.

Sinead Wooding, 26, had dialed 999 after her husband Akshar Ali, 27, had banned her from seeing friends and family, on May 13.

But by the time police arrived at her marital home in Leeds, Ms Wooding's body had been dumped in a nearby woodland and set alight, Leeds Crown Court heard.

[...]

Prosecutor Nicholas Campbell QC told the jury: 'At 11.30am on Saturday morning (May 13) the officer expected to speak to Sinead Wooding but found Akshar Ali at the address with Sinead's older children.

'He told the officer the other children were being looked after by his mother because Sinead Wooding hadn't come home.

[...]

'He told the officer that this happened frequently when she was drinking.

'The officer asked questions about the night the call was made and asked questions to the children.

'He spoke to his superiors and advised Akshar Ali that he should contact the police if she didn't come home within 24 hours.'

[...]

'We're all starting to get worried. Kids keep asking for you. Please come home or at least get in touch *advertiser censored*.'

The court heard Ali frantically called and texted Sinead's phone after the police visit and also contacted her friends and family members.
