Found Deceased NC - Stephanie Rodgers, 37, Mebane, 28 April 2015

On Thursday, May 7, Stephanie Michele Rodgers, 37, was reported missing.

The Hillsborough Police Department is attempting to locate the Hillsborough resident, who was last seen at the end of April.

“The last time someone spoke to her on the phone was on April 28,” Sgt. Scott Nicolaysen said.

Nicolaysen said on Tuesday, April 28, according to financial records, Rodgers visited Walmart in Mebane before she made a call to the person she last talked with.

Rodgers is described as 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 150 pounds.
She has brown hair and brown eyes.
She is believed to be driving a 2008 gray Honda Accord with the N.C. license plate: BMP1916.

Police said there is no indication of foul play; however Rodgers has threatened to harm herself in the past.

She had contacted her therapist about family issues by phone on 4/28/15 at about 6:30pm. She has not been seen or heard from since that call. She was reported missing to us on 5/7/15

The body of Stephanie Michele Rodgers, of Hillsborough, was found May 16 along Buckhorn Road. Rodgers had been reported missing on May 7, 2015, according to the Hillsborough Police Department.

The medical examiner's office has not determined a cause of death. Investigators do not suspect foul play.

In May 2015, Hillsborough police said in a statement that Rodgers had previously threatened to harm herself, but on Thursday, the department would not elaborate on circumstances they believe played a factor in her death.
