HUNTINGTON BEACH More than 20 years after police say a heated argument in downtown Huntington Beach led to two men getting gunned down, the man suspected of killing the friends made his first courtroom appearance.
Lamberto Ricci Castillo stood Monday morning at the edge of a holding cage in a jailhouse courtroom in Santa Ana, his hands behind his back, as he leaned forward to listen to a judge explain that the now-64-year-old faces two felony counts of murder for the 1994 deaths of Chen Cosmo Maui Blanchard and Kenny Paul Sommer.
