McKenzie R. Wilson, a white female, about 5-foot-6 and weighs about 100 pounds, was abducted this morning in Lyndon in Cattaraugus County. She has straight blonde hair and blue eyes.

Does anyone know if the victim and suspects know each other?

The Cheektowaga Police were notified of the development around 1 p.m. after reports from the State Police said the stolen red pickup truck was possibly seen exiting the I-90 at the Walden Avenue exit.

Authorities from the Cheektowaga Police, Erie County Sheriff’s Office, and State Police searched the parking lots of the Walden Galleria, Cabela’s, Millenium Hotel and other businesses around the area. The truck was not found.

In looking at the birth dates for all three individuals, it appears as if the ages are much closer together for the two boys. Also, the girl is closer to being 13. The height of the girl and the older boy implies that they may be "close". The fact that the abduction took place at dawn (5 am) seems odd.

"[Monette] was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket, blue jeans, boots, a black shirt and carrying a black duffel bag."

What's interesting here is WHO saw Monette, and under what circumstances?

Also, who knew that there were handguns involved?

"The youths all go to the same school, O'Callaghan said. They did not leave a note or any indication of where they may be headed."

McKenzie was enrolled in the seventh grade, according to the news articles. All three students went to the same school, a school which (I believe I read) was for "special needs students". The two boys' ages imply that they would have been in high school (9-12 grade). Apparently, they too may be "special needs students". Since the "abduction" took place over 10 hours ago, the vehicle's gas tank ought to be close to empty.

It probably would be helpful if franchise fast foods and gas stations were advised and that pictures were made available.

Cheektowaga is northwest of Lyndon, on a route towards Niagara Falls, approximately 1.5 hrs away -- unless the vehicle deliberately made a circuitous route from Lyndon-to-Lake Erie; and if it did, then the "time of sighting" around 1 pm would jive with "travel time". On the other hand, the first newsreports suggested that the vehicle was seen traveling southeast, and possible towards the area of Alleghany State Forrest, also approximately 1.5 hrs away...but in the opposite direction from Cheektowaga.

Obviously there is a North- South-disconnect here.

However, if the vehicle is headed towards the Canadian border, chances of apprehension are far greater than if it is headed south.

According to family members, 12-year old McKenzie and Joshua Monette were in a relationship. There was a court ordered "stay away" order against Monette due to the age difference between the two, and Monette was due in court tonight.

Excellent info, thanks. The abduction now appears to be two lovers fleeing from "persecution by adult (and sensible) principles".

Hopefully the State Police will handle the situation as thus. The black duffle bag and the handguns are the 'elephant in the chase'.
