In hurricane-devastated south Louisiana, watermelons are cropping up everywhere!

Looks as if the hurricane, and the floods, created the perfect conditions to effectively plant all of the existing watermelon seeds. I wonder gow the weather conditions during this time of the year will effect their growth.
