Known for playing Norman Clegg in The Last of the Summer Wine and for voicing Wallace in the Wallace and Gromit cartoons.

Good innings, mind - he was 96.

I used to watch Last of the Summer Wine with my late Gran she loved the show very much. Rest In Peace Mr. Sallis you were a great actor.
