A divorce from her husband, Alfred P Thomas, was completed in August 1976. According to the record (on Ancestry) she had 3 children. A separate marriage record on Ancestry suggests the divorce may have been to enable Alfred to remarry. Interestingly, 2 months before she disappeared, the family filed suit against Gulf Resources and Chemical Corp, and Bunker Hill Co for damages arising from lead pollution from the smelter operated by the companies and malicious conduct. They were seeking $1 million in damages. The story gives the names of the 3 children as Stormy Jean, Kristina and Alfred Jr. I have not been able to find any record of what became of the suit. (see
https://www.newspapers.com/newspage/30072918/ ).
Of the children, Stormy Jean married in Indiana in 1990 and became Stormy Jean Maike. Not sure what happened to the other 2 but it seems probable that the children are still alive.
The following link,
