Magda Saez was last seen about 10 a.m. Saturday in the 700 block of North Larrabee, according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police.

She may be in need of assistance.

Saez is described as a Hispanic woman, 5-foot-3, 120 pounds with brown eyes and black hair, police said. She has a tribal tattoo on her right shoulder, a tattoo of birds on her forearm and a tattoo that reads “happiness best when shared” on her upper thigh.

Police did not know what clothing she was wearing when she went missing, but said she frequently wears bright-colored yoga pants.

I wish there was more in MSM about this woman. I feel so sad for her family and friends.

I live within a few blocks of where she went missing. I've seen several posters up. Hoping for the best, but I am not real optimistic. Too easy to end up in the river around here.

There's a walking trail that runs right alongside the river there. I never see anybody on it. It always strikes me as a little too desolate/creepy. I'm not sure you can get down there from the Chicago avenue bridge. I'm going to walk over there tomorrow and look around. As best I can tell she was filmed walking towards the bridge but never actually across the bridge.

I watched (several times) the CCTV footage that captured her walking; she seems quite serious and contemplative - sadly, it does not look like she's preparing to meet anyone. I just don't have a good feeling about this either...

There's just not much over there - I mean, there's the park, but... I take kayaking trips on the Chicago River with Water Riders who are located in the old Ward's warehouse, which is just south of the dog park and right on the river. The river in that area is pretty rough - it's deep, and there are a lot of barges that pass through (in addition to recreational boaters).

I wonder exactly what she had in that large bag she was carrying... She left all of her belongings at home, ya know? I noticed her last post on FB seemed to suggest that she was experiencing some kind of difficulties in her life: Was she suicidal? Had she ever attempted suicide? Sigh...

If anyone hears that the Chicago Police are organizing people to help search the area or the riverbank please let me know - I'd be happy to head out there and help.

Today's SM post about the search activities alludes to "reasons to believe" she's in a particular area. I am curious about the unreleased info on this one - though also very concerned about her mental health and possible outcomes of that :(. I feel like every case I follow lately has ended in suicide.

I'm not clear on whether the "reasons to believe" are just the videos of where she last was seen, or something more.

Very worried for this beautiful young woman.

Based on the area family and friends are focusing their "awareness" and "steakout" activities on today, I'm afraid the case may involve drug use :(. The marks on her lower right arm she appears to be scratching in the video footage concern me also.

She suffers from depression, and it looks like she may be currently unemployed:

An extensive list of hospitals and shelters to be contacted was posted on the FB page on Monday. I hope that they continue to visit these facilities and are thorough when doing so (i.e., bring a copy of the official missing person report -basis for patient information disclosure under HIPAA-, a recent photo, speak with psychiatry -and possibly- substance abuse care floor staff in particular, leave a poster with them, as well as in the ER area, etc.):

I feel that time of the essence here and hope that Madga is found today.

Somewhat off-topic: The incident described in the article below happened right in the area where Magda's family and friends are concentrating their search efforts on today ...:

Not for concert tickets. Not for iPhones.

For heroin."

Never heard of a stakeout surveillance for a MP... sounds odd, unsavory and potentially dangerous! They said she has a history of depression so shouldn't they also include any history of drug abuse? Also, seems like a drug meet up would require a cell phone? Not sure why she wouldn't have her phone in case of any emergency. That alone is ominous to me.

That's a pretty large area to concentrate on -- basically the entire west side. Not sure what to make of that.

I don't have a Facebook account. Can I see it without logging in?
ETA I watched it. Could she have been going to work out? Extra clothes in bag?
