Found Safe MD - Shakirah Gilliam-Shabazz, 13, Glen Burnie, 5 June 2017

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Maryland State Police are asking for the public's help in the search for a 13-year-old Glen Burnie girl who has been deemed a critically missing juvenile. Shakirah Alliah Shurrah Gilliam-Shabazz, 13, was reported missing Tuesday from the Glen Burnie area.

A person reported "critically missing" is investigated under specific guidelines.

Baltimore City Police apply the term to anyone reported missing under suspicious circumstances whose safety may be in jeopardy.

The Corkran Middle School student was last seen at her last known address in Glen Burnie on June 5, police said. Gilliam Shabazz is black, 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 120 pounds, and has brown shoulder-length curly hair, police said. She has pierced ears and a pierced nose, and was last seen wearing black stretch pants, a white tee-shirt, a green jacket and pink metallic Nike sneakers. She sometimes wears glasses.
