Hopefully her and her little dog are safe :(

This seems to be new info reported by msm-

Police say Nystrom had spent the night before her disappearance at a motel on West Kellogg and might have stayed at other motels in the area.

They have received several tips of sightings of Nystrom in the areas of South Broadway, the Plainview neighborhood and the Oaklawn community.

Police are also looking to speak with a man and woman who were involved in what appeared to be an altercation on May 10 near 37th Street North and 135th Street West.

Kendra Leigh Nystrom, 30, was last seen around 10:30 a.m. on May 4. She left her parents’ house in the 12000 block of West 29th Street North with only her dog, a black and white Chihuahua mix named Frankie, the police department said in a Facebook post.

She left the house on foot, leaving her personal belongings, car and cellphone behind. The house is adjacent to the Cowskin Creek, which was running above capacity that day due to heavy rains, police said.

Nystrom spent the night before her disappearance at a motel on West Kellogg in Wichita and may have frequented motels along the west Kellogg and South Broadway area, police said.

Maize police, K-9s continue search for missing woman

[....]

Kendra was last seen leaving her parent's home in the 12000 block of West 29th Street North around 10:30 a.m on May 4.

"We believe she was at her parents,' probably to do laundry that day or to pick up an item, and when she got here, she tripped the alarm on the house and officers responded," Maize police say. "And we think she panicked and went out the back door of the house."

Officers were out near this scene Wednesday, along with a volunteer K-9 group, searching along the Cowskin Creek behind Nystrom's parents' home.

During the search, Eyewitness News crews were walking along with the K-9 and its handlers near the creek when the dog started barking after picking up a scent. The handlers immediately asked our crews to turn off their cameras.

Police did not say if the scent had anything to do with Nystrom or her disappearance.

Still searching for Kendra-

No one has seen Kendra Nystrom since May.

The last lead investigators have to go on is video showing some sort of altercation between two people, though they are not sure if Nystrom is in the video.

Her family says she and her dog Frankie vanished and she did not have her cell phone with her.

Maize Police say she suffers from drug addiction, but the main focus is finding her.

If you have any information about the case, you're asked to contact the Maize Police Department or 911.

Missing Maize woman has been gone a year

A year ago today, Kendra Nystrom walked away from her parent’s backyard and was never seen by them again.

The Maize Police Department will hold a briefing at 1 p.m. Friday to share updated information regarding their ongoing investigation into her disappearance.

“Kendra remains missing and the case remains unsolved and has grown cold,” Detective Jeff Piper said in a news release.

She was seen on her parent's surveillance system going into their backyard with her dog, Frankie, before walking south along the Cowskin Creek, they told The Eagle in October.

She left behind her cellphone, wallet, car and clothing.
