Identified! OK - Tulsa, BlkMale, 14-20, Miami shirt, beaded necklace, Jun'17 - Darrin Wilson

Police believe the body was dumped in the field east of South 129th East Avenue and south of East Admiral Place before sunrise Thursday morning. A homeless man who lives in the field discovered his body around 9 a.m. while driving his van, Tulsa Police Sgt. Dave Walker said.

The male's body was face down on a vehicle trail in the field. Walker said there were signs of trauma, including blood on the back of his head and on his shorts.


Police investigated his death as a homicide. However, the manner in which he died was not available Thursday afternoon.

There was no identification found with the body, and a fingerprint analysis did not succeed in identifying him. Investigators released images of the victim's clothing Thursday afternoon in an effort to learn his identity. Police say he appears to be between 14-20 year old with no tattoos.

Police released photos of the victim's clothing, shoes and necklace in hopes that someone will recognize him.

They said he's a young black man between the age of 14-20, no tattoos, was wearing a multi-colored Miami t-shirt, turquoise gym shorts covering neon green shorts, white Nike Air Foamposite Pros and a brown beaded necklace.

Those are really expensive shoes and the shorts say And One or And 1, that is a Wal-Mart brand. He's probably has no responsibilities like bills, children, etc. He probably lives with someone maybe his parent(s) or a friend ...someone has to know who this is. Maybe he ran away from home?

Police said that after they released the pictures and descriptions they were able to identify the body. Walker said the family had been notified but that police were continuing to withhold the name for now.

TULSA, Oklahoma - Police have identified the body of a teenager found along an East Tulsa trail on Thursday.
Darrin Wilson, 16, was a student at East Central High School, and a former coach remembers Wilson as a great person and athlete.

Wilson's family is devastated so they just didn't have it in them to talk, but they are heartbroken.

And as police continue looking for the suspect, that pain digs even deeper.
