DOVER — Delaware State Police confirmed that identification was found with the skeletal remains discovered near the Firefly Music Festival grounds on June 15 during the event.

“The investigation is still ongoing,” said State Police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier. “Identification was found with the body, although we will not release the identity until the person is positively identified through the Division of Forensic Science.”
Although specific information about the identification is being withheld until the conclusion of the investigation, Mr. Fournier said “family notifications have been made.”

"There was identification on the body, but this is still an ongoing investigation," said Master Cpl. Gary Fournier, a police spokesman. "We're not saying 'he' or 'she.'"
Fournier said the deceased's family members have been notified, but state police will not release any further details until a positive identification has been made by the Division of Forensic Science, which is assisting with the investigation.

[h=1]Death of woman at Firefly festival still a mystery[/h]
While investigators identified Linda C. Moore, whose last known address was in Charlotte, through dental records after the discovery on June 15, 2017, the cause and manner of death was ruled “undetermined” by the Delaware Division of Forensic Science.

“If any more information on the case was received we would reopen it and continue to investigate,” Delaware State Police spokeswoman Sgt. Melissa Jaffe said Tuesday.
Authorities said there was no indication that Ms. Moore’s death was suspicious or resulted from foul play.
Police said Ms. Moore’s ties to the area were unknown and her family had been notified of her death.

"[My brother] told me he thought the cab driver was a little upset that he'd driven so far to get her."

Linda Moore's remains were skeletal bones.
