Somebody please please check if this has ANYTHING to do with Josh Gregory who went "missing" in Luka, MS on June 5. He was located June 8th. Did these two know each other? Maybe not, but it alarms me that she was reported missing the day after he was last seen, in the same rural town. My hinky meter doesn't believe in coincidences.

She was last seen on CR 255 ... a main road from Iuka to Alabama. Had she been hitchhiking? I wish there were more details about her.

This isn't looking good. Mississippi doesn't add adults to NaMus this quickly.

From that link:
Her husband, Russell Lanier, said the two got into an altercation the day before her disappearance and no one has seen her since.

All of her belongings and personal items were left inside of the home, including her phone, identification and purse.

The Tishomingo Sheriff's Department brought two K-9 units to the Lanier's home, but had no luck finding any piece of evidence.

Oh no. An altercation with the husband before disappearing is never a good sign. :notgood:

This is pretty local for me and I haven't heard anything about her. So sad.
Please forgive me for asking but the town is iuka (Iuka) right? I have read posts saying both Iuka and Luka so just making sure. Thanks.

Never mind, I read her Namus and it is Iuka.
Her pictures on Namus all look very different imo. Would be hard for me to recognize her from those. Also, I didn't see a reference to her missing hand on there. Seems as though that would be very noticeable.

So she was actually last seen June 5th? Reported missing June 6th? That's worse. Yes, the fight with the husband is suspicious, but I just find it so unnerving that she disappeared the SAME day Josh Gregory went missing in Iuka ... found safe 3 days later with some story. Iuka is a tiny little blip on the map, very rural. What are the chances???

Authorities near Iuka, Mississippi, are searching for the remaining portions of a skeleton after a dog brought home a human skull. As noted in the article, this is the area where a woman named Susie Lanier was reported missing on June 6th:

A man named Johnny Crosby also went missing from the same county in 2009:

Per Google Maps, Iuka is in the extreme northeast corner of the state, just west of the Alabama state line and not far south from the Tennessee line.

Trying to get a map but my tablet is not cooperating. Basically the area they're asking people to avoid is on the other side of a wooded area from where Susan was last seen. So they mean VERY near.

Wouldn't it be great if the dog could take the searchers back to where it found the skull?
