CBI put out an alert for the missing children just before 11 p.m. Friday, saying 9-year-old McKayla Jackson and 14-year-old Jordan McKayla were missing and last seen at Evans Park in Elizabeth around 2 p.m.

Jordan is 5-foot-2 with brown eyes and hair. He is 95 pounds and last seen wearing jeans and black high top sneakers. McKayla is 4-foot-10 with brown eyes and hair. She is 120 pounds and last seen wearing blue jeans.

Police say McKayla has autism and functions at a 5 to 6-year-old level.

Jordan and McKayla Jackson, pictured above, were last seen at Evans Park in Elizabeth at around 2 p.m. Friday.

Officials with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation said a dark blue Honda, 4-door sedan with tinted windows and dark rims was seen leaving the area of the park at the time the children were last seen. The vehicle was last seen heading west on Highway 86.

Its now been 24 hours, no updates on this, just crickets....Why no media, press conference, anything? IMHO
 
They have a car description too. They should have made this an Amber Alert. JMO. :(
 
One quick news story, then nothing, I keep checking for anything, and I am shocked. The story has even dropped off the recent stories on their webpage at KUSA, what the hey? Why do some kids get so much attention, and others a quick blip and NOTHING.... I know right now Websleuths is being flooded with Colorado Missing, perhaps people do not realize this just happened, but cannot believe there is NO activity in this thread....Just Wow....Where are these childrens parents, where are the search parties? What if anything is Law Enforcement doing? IMHO

Do these kids have social media? Anyone find anything?

Apparently these kids did not meet for an Amber Alert?

I did read this caption under a picture/video: The children have been known to run away before - police do not think the kids are in danger.

A spokesman for the sheriff’s office said they are treating the disappearance as a runaway situation. “The two were last seen together at the park, and possibly left in a dark colored Honda sedan, westbound on Highway 86. The sedan was described as having tinted windows and dark colored rims,” a statement from the Elbert County Sheriff’s office said.

I agree it doesn't make sense. They put out an "endangered children" alert but then also said they were likely not in danger? :sigh:
 
Is that a recent picture of Jordan? Looks awfully young and small.
 
So who were they at the park with? Who reported them missing? Could this be a non-custodial parent kidnapping? Not a whole lot of information. Hope they're safe.

While looking for anything new I ran into this about a missing ten year old...if he does not have a thread if someone wants to start one that would be great, just seems lots of missing kids just getting a quick blip in the news or newspaper and nothing else, makes you wonder if something is going on in Colorado. IMHO

It happens to me all the time that I start a thread and they are found safe. Some news groups don't update their stories. Thanks for starting a thread anyway. It shows you cared.

Now where could these kids be?

Are there any updates any info from media? I really think this will turn out to be a family situation . It still sucks but the lack of urgency makes me believe they know who they're with and it's likely a non-custodial parent. MOOOOO
