The beards and eyes look similar but so much doesn't match up in their physical description. Just putting it out here to hopefully garner some attention for John Doe.

Is there any possibility a gunshot wound scar on Lester's stomach could have been misidentified by the ME as a surgical scar (per NamUs - JD has a nephrectomy scar)? I'd think not, but if there is, then maybe these remains belong to Lester. He disappeared in Jan 1984 from Louisiana with a possible destination of Las Vegas. His description (less 10 - 25 lbs.) fits this Doe's; however, visually it's hard for me to tell if there's a likeness. What's your opinion?

Lester J. Rome - LA Repository for Unidentified & Missing People Lists Lester's weight at 160-175 lbs.
