Amber Alert issued for three missing children in Arizona

amber-alert.jpg

The alert was issued after 33-year-old Bedajii Harnesberry allegedly took three children: 16-year-old Parvati, 14-year-old Ramachandra and 11-year-old Malchiyah from Marana, located about 90 miles south of Phoenix.

The children were last seen at a home just before 11 a.m.
Harnesberry has mental health issues. Authorities said chemicals used to make chloroform were found in the home from which she allegedly abducted the children.

The children’s grandmother — who has legal custody of them — said she went to a neighbor’s for a short time after getting into an argument with Harnesberry. When she returned, she saw Malchiyah getting into a car driven by Harnesberry.

The grandmother attempted to stop Harnesberry from driving off. She said Harnesberry rammed her vehicle and drove away with the children.

Here are descriptions of the children:

  • Parvati Harnesberry; 16-year-old female; 5 feet, 6 inches; 140 pounds, short black hair, brown eyes; last seen wearing a striped shirt
  • Malchiyah Harnesberry; 11-year-old female; 4 feet, 6 inches; 65 pounds; long brown hair; green eyes
  • Ramachandra Harnesberry; 14-year-old male; 5 feet, 6 inches; 140 pounds; short black hair; brown eyes; last seen wearing a black tank top and black basketball shorts
Bedajii Harensberry is a 33-year-old woman standing 5-feet-4 and standing 180 pounds.

The suspect vehicle is a green/tan 2003 Ford Taurus station wagon with a temporary paper plate from New Mexico. The plate number is not known.

The grandmother then got into her own car and tried to block Bedajii from leaving, but Bedajii struck the woman's vehicle causing some minor damage. Bedajii left the woman's residence, and it's believed all three children are with the suspect.

Police are concerned as the grandmother found chemicals and measuring glasses on the kitchen counter; the ingredients located are commonly used when making chloroform. Police are concerned with Bedajii's mental health and believe the chemicals may have been used to take the children against their own will.

"There is a possibility that chemicals were used," said Deputy Ryan Inglett, with the Pima County Sheriff's Department. "That raises the urgency and the need level and we need to be aware of that."

BBM. Seriously, who does that to their own children?!? So worried for these kids. :scared:

According to the initial story above, the grandmother saw the 11 year old "getting" into the car. Hopefully she didn't use chloroform, since it sounds as though at least one child entered under her own power. Praying that is the case. Frightning.

Holy cow! The young teens are all in grave danger if they oppose Bedajii.

Let's hope the chloroform was intended to be used on grandma if necessary and the three are found safe soon. :praying:

Found safe:
Three children authorities in Marana, Ariz., were searching for Monday afternoon were found safe early Tuesday morning.
The children were found in a backroom of a house in Globe, about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, just over 100 miles away from their home with their grandmother in Marana, near Tucson.
"Bedajii Harnesberry was arrested for three counts of custodial interference," Inglett said.

It was unclear what lead authorities to a "remote area" in Globe, 100 miles away from the children's home, to eventually locate them.

The whole amber alert story is a lie. My Grandma was severely abusive to my siblings and I so when our mom came to visit we convinced her to help us run away. Didn't take much convincing after we told her stories of the abuse though. No chloroform was made, but my siblings were gonna make some to use on Grandma so we could leave without her attacking us.
