[h=3]APD issues alert for missing child[/h]

The say Bruce Lemons, 11, has autism, and wandered away from his home at approximately 8:30 a.m. this morning.

APD is focusing their search in the 500 block of West Gordon Avenue.
Lemons is wearing a grey/red shirt and underwear.

No real updates yet that I can find.

I hope they are also searching along the river. It is also fairly close.

Bruce was last seen on July 11, 2017 in Albany, #Georgia. He may go by the alias name Bruce Edward Lemon Curry.

UPDATE(9:20pm): Albany Police Chief Michael Persley is requesting volunteers to aid in the search for 11-year old Bruce Lemon-Curry. Anyone wanting to assist can report to the command post at 8:30 a.m. if Bruce is isn't located tonight. The Command Post will be located in the 500 block of West Gordon Avenue. Anyone needed information can call Community Relations at 229-733-0031.(Source:APD)

Albany police confirm Wednesday morning that Bruce Lemon-Curry has been found.

The boy's body was found around 7 a.m. Wednesday in the pond at Holloway Park.

This is so sad

I don't know what we can do as a society to keep autistic children safer, or where responsibility should be placed. What I do know is something calls these kids to watery deaths far too often not to warrant some action.
