ISIS terrorist stabbing attack on Egypt beach, 2 tourists dead, 14 July 2017

A suspected ISIS terrorist killed two German holidaymakers and injured four others in a horrific stabbing spree in Egypt.

The killer swam from a public beach to the Sunny Days El Palacio hotel in the tourist resort of Hurghada before knifing victims.

He targeted only women and shouted at locals "stay away, I don't want Egyptians".

Astonishing images showed how the attacker was captured at the scene and was pinned down and wheeled away in a luggage trolley.

The attack came hours after five policemen were shot to death Giza when suspected Islamic militants opened fire on their vehicle early in the morning.

Three foreign tourists were also stabbed at the same resort in January 2016 by two suspected ISIS militants.

On May 26 an Isis gunmen opened fire on a bus carrying Coptic Christians in Minya province, upper Egypt killing 30 people.

On April 9 Isis set off bombs in Mar Girgis Church in Tanta and St Mark’s Cathedral in Alexandria, killing at least 44 people.

On 9 April 2017, Egypt's president Abdel Fattah el-Sisi announced a 3-month state of emergency.

According to German TV ZDF it is still unconfirmed that the two deadly victims were indeed German.

An Egyptian witness reported that the perpetrator deliberately spared him by saying that he was not killing any Egyptians, and then he attacked a foreign woman. After that, the man tried to escape, but the police caught him in the water and arrested him.

During a knife attack at a hotel beach in Egypt two German women have been killed.
This was reported by the Egyptian State Information Service (SIS) on Friday evening. The attack occurred in the resort town of Hurghada on the Red Sea.
According to a friend of the murdered women, they are NOT tourists, but permanent residents of Hurghada. He had known the two personally, said Peter-Jürgen Ely, former German Honorary Consul in Hurghada, on the Saturday morning to the German Press Agency. Another friend of his has identified the women after the attack.

Tragic and horrific. I hope the two ladies Rest In Peace.

Personally I wouldn't go to Egypt or Turkey at the moment I don't think it is safe for tourists.

In Hurghada (Egypt), a local attacker stabs tourists, killing two women from Lower Saxony. Apparently, the perpetrator was a supporter of the terrorist group ISIS, and he allegedly has received orders for the bloodshed shortly before.

It is Fridays afternoon 2pm. In the Egyptian seaside resort of Hurghada the sky is cloudless, the thermometer shows 38 degrees, light wind, the water is warm as in a bathtub. Ingrid M. and her friend Susanne K. (56) lie relaxed on the beach of the "Zahabia" hotel. Suddenly, a man with dark curls emerges from the water in front of them.

He pulls a knife from his backpack and stabs the two German women, shouting, "You unbelievers!" According to information from "Spiegel Online" he would have addressed them in German before.

In contrast to the first terrorist attack on the Red Sea more than a year ago, when two Islamists stabbed three holidaymakers in a hotel lobby, no one gets in the way of this assassin.

Abdel-Rahman Shams el-Din (28) had his attack well planned. Through a neglected site next to the "Zahabia" hotel, the student reached the sea unseen. Then he swam fully clothed (gray t-shirt, black trousers) around the border wall of the hotel and came to the private beach.

An eyewitness to BILD am SONNTAG: "After he had stabbed the first two women, he calmly went on. He then attacked two other women before he disappeared." El-Din swam to the neighboring "Sunny Days El Palacio Hotel", and stabbed two more victims. He shouted, "Stay away, I do not want any Egyptians."

After that, the perpetrator tried to flee, but he was knocked down at last by a hotel employee with a paddle and overwhelmed .

Among friends and acquaintances of the two dead women, rage and grief about the attack prevail . Many of them come from Hurghada. Ingrid M. had a small apartment there.

The enthusiastic diver (about 900 dives) was several times a year in Hurghada. With her longtime friend Susanne K., she shared a passion for Egypt.

Redsea dive staff writes on Facebook: "We are in shock ... If two people who were our friends were so unnecessarily ripped out of their lives, then no more is left than absolute bewilderment."
