Found Deceased MI - Sgt. Major David Folsom, 54, Waterford, 12 July 2017

Command Sgt. Major David Folsom, 54, Waterford, has been suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, recently his PTSD has gotten worse. After tossing and turning, David got up around 3:30 a.m. July 12 and went into his office.

He left behind his phone and truck but he has his .38 pistol, his wallet and his house key.

His wife said he may also have his aviator glasses with him. She also said her has done this once before. He wandered off earlier this month and fell asleep in a park but when he returned home eight hours later, he couldn't remember which park it was - or how he got there.

Oh, not sounding good. Hoping he just needed to get away and find himself and returns to his family safe and sound.

In a Facebook post, Belinda Mirovsky-Folsom said her husband went missing in the early morning hours of July 12. The couple lives in the area of Elizabeth Lake and Cooley Lake Roads. “Please help me by sharing this post and by having a watchful eye out for this well respected military man and wonderful father and husband,” she wrote in the post.

David Folsom served in the Army National Guard for 20 years. He is described as 6-foot 3-inches in height, weighing approximately 220 pounds with brown eyes and a silver, military-style haircut.

This truly breaks my heart. I am married to a combat vet with severe PTSD. It can be a frightening thing. It's better at times and worse at times. I could totally see my hubby just taking off for awhile when he feels it is out of hand, but I'd be surprised if it were for days at a time. The taking of the gun frightens me. With 20+ veteran suicides a day this is always a worry for me. Praying hard that Sgt. Maj. David Folsom is okay.
