Was it muder or arson?
On either January 21st, 1962, or June 21st, 1962 (sources vary,) the home of Edward Maps was in flames as firefighters arrived on the scene. Several small fires were seen around the house and the body of his wife Christine was found unconscious with a blunt trauma blow to her head. Their four month old daughter Jule was found. Julie died at the hospital. Christine died at the hospital a day or so later. A relative hated the marriage of Edward to Christina. Edward had no history of violence or problems with his marriage, and sources say that they had been visiting a friend earlier that night and Edward was in great spirits.
Edward Maps has never been located. Why would Mr. Maps want to kill his family? If he is innocent, who set the fire and stuck his wife? Here is some information on this incredible case. It is one of Pennsylvania's most baffling missing persons/murder cases:

Sadly, I can't get to some of the other articles as they require a subscription to view the content. There was one three or four part series on the case, but I can't get to read it all for these reasons. This was a huge case for it's time. So add what you know, or can find.

PS. We also need a confirmation on the date, so that this data can be corrected.
