Police ID bodies of Indiana girls

Two bodies found along a northern Indiana stream are those of two teenage girls who went missing Mondayand their deaths are being investigated as homicides, authorities said on Wednesday.

State Police Sgt. Kim Riley said autopsies performed Wednesday determined that the bodies are those of Liberty German, 14, and Abigail Williams, 13, both of Delphi.

Their bodies were found Tuesday afternoon along Deer Creek near Delphi, about 60 miles northwest of Indianapolis. Police said the girls bodies were about three-quarters of a mile from an abandoned railroad bridge where they were dropped off Monday to go hiking.

There was a lot of discussion about the 7 hours on the photo in the earlier threads. Some said that it would say that if the phone was turned on after being dead or turned off, which made me think they had the phone instead of getting it from the cloud.Im not sure how the cloud works exactly, but it just stores things right? In order for the pic to post after 7 hours, the phone would have to turn on in order for the app to post. That's what I understood from the discussion which also made me question the entire timeline of events along with the FBI arriving on the day they went missing.

Every day I check here to see an arrest. It'll happen one of these days. And then, Hallelujah!

One of the functions of a cloud server is storage, yes. Other functions of a cloud server might be processing data, and running software programs.

When opting for cloud hosting, clients are renting virtual server space rather than renting or purchasing physical servers. These are often paid for by the hour, depending on the capacity required at any particular time.

I just went right back to thread 1 but many of the links are either not working or have missing items in them. However the first mention of the 2.07 pm SC photo is in a post on page 1 thread one and is quoting MP talking about it. This was within 24 hours of the actual photo time of 02 07 so was already in the public domain.

I know. Just questioning one little thing makes us go through stuff again but that's good, right? We might pick something up on the umpteenth time that everyone missed before.

Thinking of these two remarkable young women with much fondness--may TODAY be the day the perp(s) is caught.

I think the photo was sent to a friend who didn't open it until 7 hours later. The friend then took a screenshot of the photo.

Good question really.... For my old phone the phone updates to cloud on a scheduled time each day. i do not know if this is performed when the phone is off.

Snapchat & Cloud are two different applications within a phone also. I say this just to clear up some here who might not grasp what is being discussed. Good point Shiressleuth..

The beauty of WS community is that we can all share our thoughts, opinions, feelings, and facts we are able to gather safely here. I am often humbled when these smart wonderful people here give me something that helps me think of something I never would have thought on my own, including your posts. It's insightful and allows one to think outside the box when we become laser focused on what we think.

Our differences of opinions and shared thoughts here only make us expand our minds. I apologize if I offended you in any way if your belief is one thing and mine is another, never my intention. I think we all share one main thought here and that's to help one another find these killers. I love this WS community because it's a place where we can freely discuss these case's. No man is a Island, all of us putting our heads together are helpful in one way or another.

On a more personal level I don't openly discuss these crimes with my family and friends, only in generic terms. So having a place to go where we can do this together is wonderful.

My fascination with crimes came for me at a early age. I was just 16 in 1976 and had just started dating my first boyfriend when David Berkowitz "Son Of Sam" began hitting the news in my area. That was when I started paying attention to real crimes, I guess out of fear because he hadn't been caught and he was killing couples. And here I am 41 years later up to my eyeballs in trying to assist if at all possible to help within this community....... It's all good!!!!!!:happydance:

Beautifully written post!! Eloquent statement about the WS community. Makes me feel so blessed to be here.

The WS community is blessed to have YOU here too. You are a jewel. Your post above is just one example of your kind, caring heart!

Please keep sharing your thoughts. I really enjoy reading them...

Thank you Jazztime :blushing: !!! I feel the same with your comments here too. We are both valuable jewels here, along with so many others. I too think WS is a blessing and also a privilege. As a professional writer I often find I write best when it comes from my heart

A bit off topic but definitely on line with the topic of women fears. I am selling one of my homes and had a showing a little while ago. I left my house and drove around the block and parked in front of a home of a neighbors across the street from mine. I know the owner of the home but he added a rental apartment to it and I don't know who they are. As I sat in my car waiting for the realtor to come and go so I could go back inside a woman approached my car. She asked me if there was anything wrong. I told her no, I'm fine. Then she bluntly asked why I was sitting in front of her home. When I told her my reason, she chuckled and said I guess I was a bit paranoid and left.

So for whatever the reason she was afraid of a woman sitting in front of her home. Isn't that exactly why there was a discussion about women/young girls living in the fear of something bad happening? As this woman was questioning me, I couldn't help but think about these two girls and what was going through their minds when that real danger appeared with this monster...

I am nothing but proud of Libby for getting his voice and image. Both girls didn't deserve this and that's heartbreaking to me... Females shouldn't have to have this kind of fear ever.

I've been thinking a lot about Abby and Libby, so today I went looking for aqua and purple images.

Here is one I think is particularly beautiful, and I'd like to share it.

Could this sketch be compared to DMV LICENSE ID photos, running records in Indiana and surrounding states? Is there a computer progam that could even do that?? WHO IS HE?? Argh. Praying we get some answers.

As good as that sketch is,would it be possible to use it to get a 3D image? I have seen places that if you send in an image of someone they can make a bust of that person.Would that be something that can be done with just a picture from the front like the sketch or would side shots be necessary? Just thinking that giving the image more depth might help.

If I understand your post, you're wondering about the time the pic was being viewed on SC?

A searcher who was interviewed at the volunteer FD in Delphi that evening had the SC app on his phone, and shared the pic with someone from the media. That screen shot is what the media latched on to, early on, as the pic from 2:07 PM. that day.

The interview was at approx. 9:40-10PM, 7+ hours after the pic was taken.

I hope this clears up any questions people have about the pic. Please keep in mind this was before there was any sense the girls were in any danger, and over 13 hours before they were found. All the searchers and LE had to go on were the two SC pics, at that point.

Excellent response.I was not aware that the 2:07 photo was not taken from Liberty's phone, cloud or page.If the photo was shown from another's phone as you have said, that would make perfect sense for the 7 hour mark to be on it.Do you have a link to that particular interview?

That is a great idea. Does anyone know if LE do this?
Mind you, they would prolly get 1000's of matches.

Ok thanks. So all the searchers had a copy of the SC photo of Abbey at approx 0940 on the 13th. Did it come from LE and they distributed it to searchers I guess?
