Sgt. William Bailey said Amanda Noyes last was seen early Friday morning in the 52000 block of Shady Lane in La Pine.
She last was heard from Friday afternoon, Bailey said, when she sent text messages indicating she could be suffering from a mental illness.
Noyes is described as 5-foot-4 and 135 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
She was driving a 1992 to 1996 green Buick LeSabre with unknown license plates. Deputies provided a photo of a car similar to the woman's.
Noyes was believed to have her cellphone with her, and the last activity indicated she may be in the Crook County area on Ochoco National Forest land northeast of Prineville. However, Bailey said, there has been no activity on her phone since Friday afternoon, and the accuracy of this location is uncertain.
Bailey said Noyes is new to the La Pine area, but has ties to both Crook and Klamath counties.
