Police are investigating a homicide in Philadelphia's Holmesburg section Tuesday night.

Samantha Zenszer, 20 and her great-grandmother, Violet McCall, 79, were found dead on the second floor of their burning home on the 3400 block of Sheffield Avenue. Officials expect arson.

Police sources told NBC 10 News that a manhunt is under way for a person of interest in the crime. They said that the person they are looking for knew the 20-year-old victim.

Philadelphia police said that they are looking for the knife used to stab Zenszer. They also said that McCall had been beaten.

Investigators believe the house was torched to cover up the killings.

A 25-year-old Northeast Philadelphia man will spend the rest of his life in prison after pleading guilty yesterday to killing his ex-girlfriend and her great-grandmother.

In January, Brandon Foster stabbed Samantha Zenszer, 20, to death, fatally beat Violet McCall, 79, and set their Holmesburg rowhouse on fire to cover up the murders, authorities said.

As Zenszer's mother and grandmother wept, Foster, of the 2000 block of Grant Avenue in Bustleton, pleaded guilty to two counts of murder and to arson.
