Missing child alert issued for Jupiter boy, 4

An AMBER was issued overnight for a 4-year-old boy last seen in Jupiter after midnight on Friday.

Dominic Caprio was last seen in the 100 block of Regions Way, which is near Palm Beach Gardens just north of West Palm Beach.

He's described as a white boy with brown hair, brown eyes, standing about 3 feet tall and weighing in at 44 pounds. He was wearing a gray pajama top with dinosaurs and green shorts.

He may with Elizabeth and Luis Caprio, 60 and 64 years old, respectively.

Authorities say Elizabeth is a white woman with blonde hair, brown eyes, standing 5-foot-5-inches tall and weighing in at 140 pounds.

Luis is described as a white man with brown hair, brown eyes, standing 6 feet tall at 200 pounds.

They may be traveling in a blue 2013 BMW 740i with a Florida license plate number CBDB47.

Does anyone know.. was there an amber alert

Police say 4-year-old Dominic Caprio was last seen when his mother left the child with his nanny inside their home around 12:30 p.m. Thursday. When she returned an hour later, both were gone.

The nanny, 57-year-old Blanca Castro, was later arrested in Miami-Dade County by Florida Department of Law Enforcement officials but the child still has not been located. NBC affiliate WPTV had reported Castro was heading to a home in Coconut Grove, but Dominic was not found.

On Thursday, the boy’s mother returned home and found her son and nanny were gone. Monday, Blanca Castro faced a judge, who ordered no bond on a kidnapping charge and said Castro must be transported to Palm Beach County within 15 days, where she’ll be assigned a public defender.

WPTV NewsChannel 5 has learned police had been called out to the Jupiter town home, where the boy and mother lived, multiple times since the start of the year, including a call for a disturbance in February, a welfare check in May, and several police service calls.

At the house today, an officer escorted a man inside, who said he was a friend and asked by the family to check on things. It’s unclear where Dominic and his mother are.

Meantime, detectives said they worked in conjunction with an attorney to ensure the boy was safely returned. It has not been released yet who the boy was with and who the attorney was working for.
