An official with the national gendarme service said the driver was arrested soon after the incident Monday night in the town of Sept-Sorts.

The official said it is unclear whether the act was deliberate

One official gave the girl's age as 8, while another said she was 12 and up to eight people were injured...

"A thirteen-year-old girl died and four other people were seriously injured after a 'suicidal' man 'deliberately drove his car' at speed into a pizza restaurant near Paris.

The horrific incident took place in the town of Sept-Sorts, which is around 40 miles east of the French capital.

French officials have said the driver 'clearly acted with intention but we have no reasons so far to suspect a terrorist motive'.

A further eight people sustained minor injuries."

Ugh enough already! Did two girls die? An 8 year old and 12 year old? This is so awful. I just cannot imagine sitting down for dinner with my family and some psycho decides he's going to just take others down with him. I'm so over it all. RIP sweet girls.
