Missing man from Monahans may be in need of medical care

According to Texas DPS, 40-year-old Christopher Lynn Sanders is missing out of Monahans.

Sanders was last seen in Monahans on August 13th wearing a black hat, a black shirt with letters "TCU", blue jeans, and boots.

He is described as having blue eyes, blonde hair, his height is 5' 09" and weights 210 pounds.


Just my random thoughts & opinions...
 
Not much to go on here...
Who was he last seen with? What was he doing? Where was he heading on foot? Why was he on foot? Did he have an argument with someone and left on foot?
Was he at a party, or a work site or what?
Hoping for more information to help us sleuth.
 
DPS says Sanders has multiple tattoos, one on his left forearm of diamond and clubs with flames, one of spades and hearts with flames on his right forearm, a monkey, an eye ball, mushrooms and aliens on his chest and stomach, and, a yin-yang symbol on one of his legs.
DPS also states that Sanders is possibly in need of medical care, he was last seen traveling on foot to an unknown destination.

Christopher Sanders, 40, of Daingerfield was working in the oilfields near Monahan’s Texas when his family says he reportedly went for a walk and vanished.

The disappearance was on August 13.

Working in the Monahan’s oilfield, Sandy says Chris went for a walk, and never came back."He was seen Eastbound on I-20. Left his vehicle left his R-V, my nephew tried to call him back and he'd already turned the phone off," says Sandy.

His phone has not been used since, and neither have his credit cards.

Initial information led investigators to look in Pecos and Odessa. But no sign of him.

A father of two children, Chris is supposed to be on bipolar medication, which Sandy wonders may cause disorientation if he's off them.

The Monahans Police Department needs your help regarding a missing person.

Back on Aug. 13, 2017, Chris Sanders went for a walk and didn't return.

Authorities said no one has heard from him since that day.

Sanders is a white male, 5-foot-9, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

"I talked to him the night before," said his wife Angela Sanders. "He was extremely tired and stressed out. The last time he had text me was kind of late, I figured he was getting some rest. I didn't call him before church. After church, I kept trying to call him but his phone kept going straight to voicemail." ...


"He's on bipolar meds, he's also on high blood pressure medication. I know he was off of it for at least a week," said Sandy.

"I think that considering his medical condition, I think the stress just overwhelmed him. I think he just snapped," said Angela.

But Angela said it's not his character to just disappear without a trace. She hopes that if he's somewhere out there, he can finally come home.

"I love you Chris, you are my heart. You are my life. It's not complete without you here with us," said Angela.

Christopher was here in West Texas working in the oilfield. Chris was last seen around 9:30 am on August 13th, 2017. He was staying in his RV while working a job.* He went for a walk and never returned.

The QPS RV park Christopher went missing from is located off I-20. He was last seen walking east on the I-20 service road.* Someone had to have seen him and someone has to know where he is.

Texas man Chris Sanders vanishes while on a walk near his home

Sandy’s son Chris was living in a trailer park in Monahans County, Texas, and was working in the oil fields with Sandy’s brother-in-law. Sandy told Dateline that Chris and his co-workers were having a cookout on the night of August 12, 2017. People at the cookout have since told Sandy that Chris seemed agitated at the cookout, but it was unclear as to what was frustrating him.

Sandy noted to Dateline her son Chris did suffer from bipolar disorder.

"He was extremely tired and stressed out,” Chris’s wife Angela Sanders told NBC affiliate KWES in September 2017. She said she spoke to Chris on the phone while he was at the cookout.

“The next morning, Chris went for a walk around 9:30 a.m.,” Sandy told Dateline. “Forty-five minutes later, my nephew [who also lived there and worked in the oil fields] called him and asked where he was.”

Sandy’s nephew told her Chris said he was walking eastbound on I-20, an area Sandy describes as an unusual place for a walk.

“Then, Chris hung up the phone. When my nephew called back a few minutes later, Chris’s phone was already off,” Sandy said.

That was the last time anyone is known to have spoken with Chris. His camper and truck were left at the trailer park.

I have noticed quite a bit of action on the FB page to find him lately.
It's sad.
 
The only thing east of Hwy 18 /Monahans is the state park although they are currently building a county convention center east of 18 on the north side of 20.

I have been staying in Monahans for the last week-plus workinng in the oil fields. On my time off yesterday I visited the SP. See pics. The last one shows the sand blowing over the dune in the wind.

The company man at one of my rig sites told me that once he had been drilling on the edge of Monahans near the golf course. Said you could not lay a tool down anywhere or it would be buried in sand rather quickly. His hands were taking a break sitting on a mound of sand and started digging and found some Model A cars. Apparently the landowner knew they were somewhere on the property but never knew where. They were his grandfather's cars.

I wonder if Christopher made it as far as the State Park? If nobody picked him up, I suspect he is in the sand between Monahans and the park. [emoji20]
