This is a North Carolina Amber Alert for a Child Abduction....The Stokes County Sherrif's Dept is searching for Trinity Lakin Mcgraw.

She is an 8yoa W/F approximately 4ft tall,53 pounds,with Long Hair,and Brown eyes.

Trinity Lakin McGraw was last seen wearing a Watermelon Design Long Night Gown.

The Abductor is Patrick Ryan McGraw W/M 6ft 220 pounds,Bald Head,Blue Eyes,Tattoos,and wearing White T-Shirt.

They were last see traveling north on Frans rd in Westfield,NC in a Gray Mid Size Sedan.

My amber alert says 2016 Gray Ford Focus RDG2198 (GA)
 
I wonder why this is considered an Amber Alert?
I haven't seen any information on that. He's clearly her Dad.
What reason is there for assuming she's in danger?
Are they alone? Or is his current girlfriend with them?

I wish they would give more information so people don't just ignore it if there is reason to believe she is in danger.

Gosh. We can do better with father's visitation, can't we? Do we have to wait until someone gets criminal about it?

There was a lot more there when I posted it.
Including her name, her age, location and more pictures of her which were identifiable.
It's been locked down now, I'm guessing his girlfriend did that.

When someone lacks parental rights to or custody of their own child, there are reasons for it.

Not only did this man lack visitation rights to his child, he has no parental rights at all to her. That only happens in extreme circumstances.
 
If you don't have custody or even allowed visitation, then you need to take a good long look at yourself and ask yourself if you even deserve it and if seeing that child is in the CHILD'S best interests.
If you truly believe it's best for the CHILD to have a relationship with you, then do it the right way - legally.
It's not about father's rights or mother's rights. It's about the kid.

btw statistically when men go after full custody they get it often - I've read that it's nearly always. So don't even start with 'courts prefer the mother'. No, it's that it's usually mother's who want full custody. (Not talking about reasonable parents who want to share custody).
