Active shooter in Charleston



[FONT=&amp]Emergency crews are responding an active shooter situation in downtown Charleston.[/FONT]
[FONT=&amp]According to the Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch, the Charleston Police Department, Charleston City Fire, and Charleston County EMS responded to the area of Virginia’s On King on Thursday, August 24 at 12:18 p.m.

Photos from the scene show dozens of emergency responders near Virginia's on King, a restaurant located at 412 King St.
The scene is just a couple blocks north of College of Charleston's campus.
There is not much out there yet
 
Thanks CARIIS was just coming to post this. I heard on news the shooter is a middle aged man.

Is there something related to a CVS as well? I assume the owner was shot?
 
I think a CVS is involved but dont know how -- but that fits in a way with an oxygen lady??

OMG! I just read this. I am calling our youngest daughter right now to see if she knows anything and most importantly to know if she is okay. She and her husband are real estate brokers, and their offices are in downtown Charleston.
 
An owner of a nearby boutique said the police activity is focused around Virginia's on King, a restaurant in the heart of downtown.
 
Evacuated business in area I think he threatened a bomb
