“My sister was in a great mood, she had plans for the weekend, she had plans for the Friday. She was talking about the things she was going to do that weekend,” Layla said, adding she was not in any sort of fight or dispute with anyone.

Police say she has a boyfriend, but no dispute or fight occurred with him. They say she does not drive and does not have any cash or bank cards, or even a phone with her.

She was last seen wearing white gym pants, white Nike running shoes, and a white vest over a black gym top.

Her family says she is on medication and did not take it with her. So far, friends and family members have canvassed various parts of Vaughan and putting up posters.

Police have stepped up patrols in the area she was last seen and brought out a canine unit to search for her.

Conflicting info regarding her purse contents. Article on CBC makes it sound like staff found her purse with wallet etc. Unless I'm misinterpreting - it is somewhat of an awkwardly worded sentence.

From article.
Fitness staff at the community centre found Randa's purse containing cash, cards and her phone, none of which she has with her, her sister said.

Also if she doesn't drive, have they given any indication on how she got to the gym? Only mentions she arrived 18 minutes later. I guess that would fit with walking. But was she going to walk home? If she arrived at 8:45 ish it is dark by then.

A Vaughan woman was found in Toronto on Sunday, 11 days after she was reported missing by concerned family members, York Regional Police say.
Her family and friends gathered at the Vellore Village Community Centre on Friday to voice their concerns about Elyassir, who they believed was missing.

Police had been pulling surveillance footage from businesses, buildings and residences, as well as dispatching K9 units in the area where they believed Elyassir went missing.

Police say their investigation into the disappearance has concluded and no charges have been laid.
In a statement released Sunday, her family thanked investigators who worked on the case.

"We want to thank the (York Regional Police), friends, family, and wonderful strangers for their compassion and help and support," the statement read.

They added that she was located with injuries and required treatment in hospital.

"The family has requested respect and privacy as they don't want anything to impede the ongoing investigation," the statement added. "We are grateful and thankful for her safe return."

Glad she's safe. But does make you wonder what happened. The part where she had to be treated for minor injuries doesn't make it sound like she was with the best of friends.
