School Bus overturns on way to daycare center carrying 18 children

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Police, fire and medic crews are on the scene of a school bus that overturned Tuesday morning in northeast Charlotte.

They say the bus was carrying 18 children between the ages of 3 and 4 to a daycare facility at University City Church when it flipped at the intersection of Old Concord Road and Branch Hill Circle.

Officials say they believe the driver swerved to avoid a log, causing the bus to careen off the side of the road.

So far, no reports of serious injuries...

Thank God! A couple of staff and a couple of kids were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries...
