Found Safe SD - Kayleen Haiar, 23, & infant, Mitchell, 6 Sept 2017

Police are searching for two missing people from Mitchell.

On Wednesday, Kayleen Haiar left a note at her Mitchell residence stating that she and her infant daughter were going to visit a friend in Miller, but they never arrived.


Haiar has a severe medical condition and took a limited supply of medication with her, according to police, and she does not have a vehicle or a cellphone.

Haiar is a 23-year-old white female, approximately 5-foot-7-inches and 130 pounds. She has blonde hair, blue eyes and wears glasses, but it is unclear if she has her glasses.

Anyone with knowledge of Haiar’s whereabouts is encouraged to call the Mitchell Police Division at (605) 995-8400.

MISSING PERSON--Mitchell 09-08-17

23 year old Kayleen Haiar and her infant daughter Abigail Haiar have been missing from their residence in Mitchell, SD. since Wednesday September 6, 2017 at approximately 11pm.

Kayleen suffers from severe diabetes and only took a limited supply of medication with her when she left the residence.

Kayleen left a note for her family saying that she and her child were going to go visit a friend in Miller, SD.

Kayleen and her child did not show up at the friends residence. Kayleen does not have a vehicle or a cell phone.

Kayleen Marie Haiar is described as a white female
D.O.B. 01-22-94 she 5’07’’/130 lbs with blonde hair, blue eyes.
Kayleen wears glasses, but it is not know if she has them with her.

Abigail Mare Haiar is described as a white female infant
D.O.B. 08-10-17 brown hair, unknown eye color
unknown height and weight.

UPDATE: Kayleen Haiar and her daughter were located and are safe according to the Mitchell Police Department. They were not in any danger.
