A Marin City resident, fifty-year-old Leroy Zampa, was reported missing on 09/15/17. Zampa was last seen walking from Braun Court toward Buckelew Street on 09/14/17, at approximately 1:30 p.m., with a backpack and possibly a sleeping bag. Zampa left after an argument and did not take his wallet or vehicle with him. Since that time, Zampa has not been present at work for his scheduled shifts or contacted his workplace, which is unusual. Zampa was reported to have made suicidal statements in the past.

Zampa may have been headed to Southern Marin trails and parkland. Zampa’s phone showed activity associated with the general area of the Mount Tamalpais Watershed and the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, but not a specific location.

I see some public posts/comments that suggest a sad outcome. Waiting for MSM.

He took his sleeping bag, so I kind of feel like he might just be taking a break.

There's all kinds of campgrounds in the areas his phone pinged at in the Golden Gate National Recreation area.

But how did he get to the Mount Tamalpais Watershed area?

I've never seen them do that before. Under what circumstances does that type of action take place?

I've been digging around am seeing comments that say RIP Leroy and things of this nature. :( Nothing in MSM yet though.

They do that when the case has been resolved and it is removed from their missing database.

OT - Please take a moment to read the latest help request from Tricia. You can see her note called "it is urgent now" under the Missing Persons Discussion forum. Here's a snip:

"You can donate at .com or use the email websleuthsdonations@gmail.com and you can donate thru PayPal.com or Google Wallet

This is URGENT!!!

There are bills coming up that are not going to be paid and that will start the awful domino effect that could lead to real trouble for Websleuths."
