Police are asking for help in identifying a body found in a field just off of Cow Drove near A303 in Chilmark, Wiltshire.
They have now released pictures of a T-shirt and necklace that he was wearing

The man, believed to be in his 40s, is described as lean but muscular with greying hair, 5ft 10 ins tall with a prominent, slightly crooked nose.

Police say they are still uncertain how the man died or how his body ended up in the field.

EDIT: I forgot to add the date the body was found, it was on 21st September 2017

This shows the area:

The Wiltshire area, with Stonehenge, Avebury and other prehistoric monuments tends to draw a very alternative, hippyish, new age crowd. That includes spiritual rather than religious Christians (he was wearing a cross).

Stonehenge is some 5 or 7 miles to the NE along the A303, which itself is one of the main arteries leading down to the West Country which is pretty woo from end to end.

I think we can rule out an RTA as his COD would have been pretty obvious in that case. As would assault of most sorts.

If his COD is uncertain there's a chance they're waiting for the results of a tox screen for the usual drugs. However it's possible that his apparently good physique was masking an underlying health issue that cause him to die of natural causes.
