Police are asking for the public's help finding a 17-year-old Albertville High student who didn't show up to school this week.
Argelia Fernanda Pena Rojas is from Albertville in Marshall County, but police believe she might be in the Crossville or Kilpatrick areas of DeKalb County. Rojas is 5 feet 5 inches and weighs about 120 pounds. She last was seen by her family on Monday morning, said J.T. Cartee, assistant police chief in Albertville.
"We think she's a runaway," said Cartee. "We are concerned about her welfare because we think she might be associating with a bad crowd of people."
Anyone who sees Rojas or who has information about her whereabouts is asked to call police at 256-878-1212 or 256-891-8274.
