Found Deceased UT - Jeanna Reid, 26, Farmington, 3 Oct 2017

FARMINGTON, Utah (ABC4 Utah)- Police say 26-year-old Jeanna Rochelle Reid hasn't been seen or heard from since she left her home Tuesday morning.

They say Reid suffers from a degenerative brain disease. They believe she may have used UTA services to travel to Ogden or Salt Lake City. "She has been showing a fascination with homeless and Native American people," police said.

Reid does not have her phone or money. They believe she is wearing a blue coat. She has glasses but it is not believed she is wearing them.

She is described as a white female with a shaved head. She is about 5'9" and 130 pounds.

I wonder if there are trains near her area. There have been stories (here on WS) of younger people using freight trains for travel and lifestyle. IMO, hoping she's safe

The family usually keeps close tabs on Reid because of her condition but on Oct. 3, she walked out while her mother slept because of the flu.

A neighbor saw her at around 8:30 a.m. She hasn't been seen since.

Jeanna Reid is 5 feet 9 inches tall, 130 to 140 pounds, blue eyes and a shaved head.

FARMINGTON As of Friday morning, police were still searching for a missing Farmington woman last seen Tuesday.

The*Farmington Police Department*is looking for Jeanna Rochelle Reid, 26, who was last seen around 8 a.m. Tuesday when she left her home, according to a news release issued Thursday afternoon.

She is believed to have been using*UTA busses or the FrontRunner train*to travel to either Ogden or Salt Lake City, the release said.*

Reid suffers from *advertiser censored*degenerative brain disease and does not travel with a phone or money, the release said.*

The 26-year-old Reid is described as 59 weighing around 130 pounds with a shaved head. Reid*was believed to be wearing a blue coat when she was last seen.*

Farmington Police Department Chief Wayne Hansen said there were no new updates in the case Friday morning.

Wonder who she could possibly be with. I had imagined her trying to be within the homeless community somewhere out there. Trying to live among those she met?

"The 26 year old was diagnosed with schizophrenia about six years ago and the*family is worried that her mental illness is keeping her in danger.*

Her father Doug Reid explained, "She seemed to have an affinity toward strangers and she always tried to make friends with strangers and because of that we realized that she would be in a position to be taken advantage of."

Reid said that the investigation has been challenging because there are so few clues. People have given tips to the police but none of the possible sightings turned out to be Jeanna. The family is headed to St. George this weekend to check a relative's property that Jeanna*might have gone to."

Her body was found by hunters in the mountains in Farmington. It appears she was hiking a rocky terrain and fell into a river.

DAVIS COUNTY, Utah — A State Medical Examiner positively identified human remains found in Shepard Creek Canyon last weekend as missing person Jeanna Reid.

According to a press release from the Farmington Police Department issued Wednesday, there are no signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances but the cause and manner of Reid’s death remain under investigation.
