When people clam up and aren't forth coming either they are scared or having something to hide! I so wish there was an interagency that negotiated for these people to come forward. They cannot be living a full life with the info they hold.

    Angry

This case is just too tragic for words.Maybe Faith wasn't as squeaky clean as she portrayed but NO way did she deserve her fate on that day. AND someone knows what happened to her, motives are really telling for me. I mean did Faith have $$$?(greed)----- Unlikely- so that wasn't a motive unless someone could take over her scholarship, jealousy -she was a very attractive girl who had empathy and valued her close friendships (I so dearly hope this wasn't the motive), Mercifulness Faith wasn't sick - so it wasn't a mercy killing, Revenge - did she have an enemy - was her room mate someone who could truly be trusted to do the right thing by Faith?

What did Faith have that others wanted? The attention and admiration of people - who was most affected by this? Who had the most to gain by snuffing her life? Who is the most insecure and least confident of her friends. Was there a divide between roomates in terms of grades and boyfriends and social commitments? If Faith would have done anything for someone - obviously someone was NOT happy with her attitude. This murder SCREAMS and I mean SCREAMs familiarity.

DNA - that might be someone who came in and set the scene for the murder.

the above is IMHO totally IMHO!

Sorry to see discussion of this case fading off, and hope we don’t get too bogged down in back-and-forth arguments, but will link to this lengthy piece CADwrest sent me (that Skigirl apparently helped with) in defense of Karena R. (the object of so much suspicion). It’s too long to post at any normal forum:
    https://faithhedgepeth.blogspot.com/...-danielle.html

Also will just note that Tom Gasparoli is scheduled to have a new post on the case at his site on Friday:

Looking forward to the next Gaspo post. Hopeful for new info.

Side note there's actually a December 5th Gaspo post I've never seen before. Heads up in case anyone else missed it.

So I'm listening to the first Twisted podcast episode on Faith now. Pretty interesting. He mentions a few things I'd never heard confirmed before (doesn't necessarily mean he's right). One thing I noticed is Gaspo says they stopped at Time Out before they went home from The Thrill. I remember it being reported elsewhere one time that the Time Out bag was actually from a day or so prior to the murder. I'm guessing if what Gaspo says is true, CHPD must have confirmed this by camera or people who were working there that night. I think Time Out was back at the old spot back then, so they probably would have gotten in the car to stop there (this would also depend on where they parked their car, though). It's kind of a little walk from Thrill to where Time Out was at that time, but still doable on foot. Just seems less likely to me that they would have stopped there on the way back to the car. Scary to think about but maybe someone followed them from Time Out.

I also disagree with him about the 911 call. Honestly, if I came in my house and things were moved around I too would probably be saying "it looks like someone's been in here. it really does". I just don't find that that strange of a reaction. Especially if you're someone who has a place for everything in your house and knows where everything is. I kind of just wish the Karena angle would die. It seems like a dead end at this point.

All in all definitely worth a listen. It's contrary to the note and stuff, but I believe a stranger did this.

I listened to it a few weeks ago and just listened to part of it again. There were a couple of little oddities in it. You mentioned Time Out, and yes, I've previously read that they'd been there the previous night, not the same night they went to the Thrill. Also, he kind of casually throws in that BE had been in previous relationships with both of them, when it's only been established that he was previously with KR. And he says BE got KR's text the next morning, when it's been previously reported he didn't get it until the following afternoon/evening, once he already knew Faith was dead (which explains his "Who is this?" reply).

Agreed- the 9-11 call has way too much read into it. I don't think it's all that unusual. I get confusion/shock in the first part, then after a few minutes, a dawning realization that she's looking at a murder scene. I think she does immediately sense Faith is dead, which is why she doesn't want to start messing around with her body and checking her airway, but just can't bring herself to come out and say that.

The Dec. 15th post that Tom Gasparoli promised isnít up yet, but the 2nd half of the podcast that post is largely based on is now up here:
    https://directory.libsyn.com/episode...ast/id/6049290

Nothing much new; the main thing I found interesting was the amount of time spent noting the possibility that Karena, and not Faith, was the intended victim.

Thanks for drawing attention to the Karena Manifesto, as we've been calling it. I only helped a little bit; CADwrest wrote most of it. It sure does look a lot longer than it seemed at the time I was making comments.

Yeah, THAT I have always believed. If it was someone known to either of them, I think KR was the more likely target.

Tom Gasparoli's new post on the case is finally up at his site, where he reiterates his suspicion of Karena, and wonders why she would be publicly silent all this time... I suspect a lawyer has told her NOT to speak to the public, but even if that's not the case I don't know why someone who has been interviewed by law enforcement so many times would feel any need to repeat the same things over and over again to the public or press.

I have also thought it could have been a case of mistaken identity. IMO: I have wondered...it was said the girls left the club because KR felt ill...it was closing time-they had to leave. I wonder if KR stomach ache was due to possibly seeing someone there she didn't want to see. Maybe they were harassing her. Maybe this person kept texting her and said they were going to come by after work cause they wanted to talk or whatever, perhaps worked at The Thrill, KR didn't want to be home then and so she left. Thinking if and when this person arrived they would realize she wasn't there and leave. Not thinking Faith would be in harms way because this person never made KR feel physically threatened. Maybe What she didn't know was that this gentleman was still stewing from the time he saw her at the Thrill. Perhaps he thought him and KR had something more serious going on but to KR it was nothing. Maybe he saw her that night with someone else and called her out? That made her "uncomfortable" aka ill and so she wanted to leave. Maybe this man, possibly working at Thrill, felt scorned because he and KR had been hooking up and she had the audacity to be up at HIS job flirting with another man. He tries to talk with KR but she leaves at closing. He has to finish work and maybe drinks while shutting the bar down. Getting angrier and angrier. Maybe even venting frustration to a few others. They amp him up as well. He texts KR all night to no avail. That's ok, he thinks, because he will just go talk to her. He doesn't call ahead or let her know because he knows she is avoiding him. He drinks a little more. Maybe he has been drinking all night, maybe has also done some other recreational drugs. He ends up at the door, knocks maybe?, no one answers. He thinks she is just ignoring him again. So he tries the door-it's unlocked. He "blacks out."...this is all just my thoughts and opinions. Trying to make sense out of a lot that doesn't make sense. Thoughts?

ETA: this is my theory and opinion IF it was mistaken identity. Also maybe be why KR has remained quiet. Because she now knows this man's capabilities. Perhaps if her phone was searched she said the person she was texting with was "just a friend"...LE moves along. All JMO.

Simplestarz- not a bad theory, but we know LE searched KR’s phone. If there were someone blowing her up like that the evening of the murder (especially with texts suggesting some sort of unrequited love), it wouldn’t matter what she said about that relationship. They would have absolutely found him and questioned him. That’s a scenario that would have made perfect sense to them as a motive and they would have been guaranteed to follow-up on.

Could they search the contents of deleted texts or only that a text was sent or received?
