Diane "Snake" Lake just came out of hiding (from her Manson Family past) with a new book, "Member Of The Family".

She's one of the 'good' ones who didn't kill anyone. She had been raped and beaten by Charlie, probably like a lot of the other girls. But she got deprogrammed fast & helped put Charlie and his cohorts away for good!

Should make for some fascinating reading.

Good book, but incredibly sad. She was just dumped by her parents at a young age.

I enjoyed the book and seeing how someone so young could become of victim of Charlie's mind control, otherwise I did not feel like the book gave any new information or insight into the members who committed the murders or the ones who to this day believe he was the second coming.

Ms. Lake's book was a very good look at the inside of the Manson family. Her real family, unfortunately, was about as dysfunctional as they come. I'm glad she didn't end up hurting anyone and has rebuilt her life.
