Leah McKinney was last seen about 4 p.m. January 9, 2002. McKinney was about 20 when she disappeared and would be about 35 now. She is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighed about 200 pounds. Her middle name is Dale.

Her family last saw Leah on January 9, 2002, and the last time anyone spoke to Leah was by telephone January 28 or 29, 2002. No one has heard or seen her since then, according to information in the NamUs Database.

At the time McKinney went missing, her hair was long, below her shoulders. She had blue eyes and wore contacts or glasses.

Even though the height is off, I think it's worth a shot. Facial reconstruction looks similar enough and the timeframe adds up.

Leah is not on the rule-out list of your UID, nor does she have any DNA submitted. Also, since the UID was skeletal, it's entirely possible that the ME got the height of the UID wrong. So yeah, definitely worth submitting!

The only response I got was thanking me for my submission. I didn’t know what else to do. I’ve turned in like five names of different unidentified but never heard anything other than ‘thank you for your submission’ and the ones I turned in don’t showing as ruled out. Idk if I even do this stuff right.
