Sullivan was last seen on February 14, 2003, at her residence in the vicinity of the 200 block of Cumberland Avenue in Madison, Tennessee. Her grandmother heard her come home between 10:00 and 11:00 p.m. She heard her go into her bedroom, then leave the house shortly thereafter. She has never been heard from again.

The day after her disappearance, Sullivan's car was found abandoned at the entrance to Shelby Park, east of 20th Street and between Lillian Street and Davidson Street in Nashville, Tennessee. There was no sign of her at the scene.

Her case remains unsolved; few details are available and the circumstances surrounding her disappearance are unclear.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Almost two decades after a Madison woman mysteriously disappeared, Metro Nashville Police Department detectives continue to investigate in hopes of finding answers for her family.

In February of 2003, Nashville police said Misty Sullivan, 24, was living with her grandmother on Cumberland Avenue in Madison. On Valentine's Day, her grandmother heard Misty come home around 11 p.m., get something out of her room and leave. No one has seen or heard from her since.

The Charley Project updated the Details of Disappearance.

Is it a coincidence she disappeared on Valentine's Day? I can't find anything on a boy friend, but that doesn't mean some guy wasn't recently in her life. No mention of a vehicle, either missing, found or still at home. So how did she get around?

So, per the article, there was a car and it was abandoned somewhere else.

Yeah, looks like the park the car was abandoned at is something like eight miles from the grandmothers house.

Now that just over two decades have passed, the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) is renewing its calls for tips in the case.

In an interview with News 2 in 2022, Detective Matthew Filter with the MNPD’s Cold Case Homicide Missing Persons Unit explained that Sullivan’s grandmother heard her come home around 10 p.m. or 11 p.m. the night of Feb. 14, 2003.

This is just a hunch, but could it be possible that her case is connected to Tabitha Tuders? Tabitha was 13, but she disappeared only two months after Misty. I looked on Google Maps and found that they vanished on what I believe is the same street (there is a six minute drive).

Maybe the abductor took Misty but was dissatisfied with her, causing him to kill her and take a younger, more compliant victim?
