'Search warrants are out for the firefighters'

seems like a small town and it shouldn't take that long to find them ... I'm sure some of them are from surrounding areas as well
 
I certainly hope that the allegedly video clearly indicates who they were.
I don't want anyone innocent being charged or anyone guilty getting away.
Ugh.
 
The age of consent in Ohio is 16. According to the link in post #1, her mother stated her daughter was in a sexual relationship with the suspects. WHAT???

I dont get your point though, maybe explain?
I think its disgusting for a man to try to have sexual relations with children.

I don't see where her age has anything to do with it either.

“Screenshots provided by the mother… indicate the victim was highly intoxicated, was intimidated by all the suspects, and the sex with (suspect name) was not consensual,” the affidavit said.

I was wrong about the state. It happened at three different places in Virginia. The age of consent in Virginia is 18 so if she was in a sexual relationship with the men they could be charged with statutory rape.

I think the age would be important if she had not obtained the age of consent. If she had a sexual relationship with the men before, it would be harder to prove the sex was not consensual. I'm not defending the men at all.

But why mention Ohio's age of consent? it's a different state

Sexual assault cases are often disregarded because of victim blaming, its a national crisis right now. For example theres been alot of victim blaming in cases of Weinstein, Moore and Corina Slusser that is detrimental to the issue at hand.

When the story of an*alleged gang rape*started to surface and ABC7 was in the small town of Strasburg, Virginia, no one wanted to talk. People were shocked, ashamed and some didn’t want to believe it. Now, Wednesday morning, six firefighters, including the chief and captain of the volunteer fire department, have been charged.

But they were not charged with a sex crime. Instead, they have been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. This is a misdemeanor that carries up to a year in prison and a $2,500 fine.

So wait. The incident happened in April 2016???? And they are just being charged now? This makes me so angry. And now the charges have been reduced to contributing to the delinquency of a minor. :mad:
