A crew clearing weeds near the Bonsall Bridge over the San Luis Rey River found a human skull and at least one other bone Thursday afternoon, a sheriffs official said.
The habitat management team reported the discovery near the bridge along state Route 76 about 2 p.m., sheriffs Lt. Richard Williams said.
