NE NE - Dalia Khairo, 22, Lincoln, 23 Nov 2017

22-year-old woman from Lincoln, Dalia Khairo, has been reported missing as of last Thursday, November 23rd.

So far police have only located her phone. Friends and family members tell 6 News they do not know what she might have been doing or who she last contacted before she went missing.

Dalia has black hair, brown eyes, and is 5 feet tall. If you have any information call Lincoln Police at (402) 441-7204.

They are a Yazidi family, originally from Northern Iraq. On his Facebook profile, the father calls on his daughter to 'return'.

Update: According to a post by her father, Dalia has voluntarily returned home safe and well. "She was at a local residence belonging to a humanitarian NGO following a 'minor family dispute'."

Police say Dalia Khairo, 22, of Lincoln, was reported missing but is not believed to be in danager.Someone reported that she'd been gone since November 23rd but police investigated and they say she apparently left of her own volition.
Officers spoke with people who said Dalia had told them of her plan to leave.

According to her Dad (or the man who said he was her Dad) he said that they had an argument and she went on her own to a local humanitarian organization who mediated between them and she came home. He had this posted on his page and on 1011 fb page. Her mother was also posting and asking people to stop contacting her about her daughter even while she was missing. Since then, both have deleted all posts pertaining to the whole event. Imo, they were not prepared for all the attention social media can bring to a situation and perhaps they were embarrassed by it. Also, the language barrier may have made it difficult. Personally, I had to use Facebook's built in translator to read their posts and the order of words was not exact. But, since DK was reported to Lincoln PD you could call and ask if it's still an active case.
