Was that the house number? I thought it was 755???

... Brefie, For some reason, this doesn't look like the Ramsey house to me! Maybe it's the angle. The sidewalks don't look to be in the right place either. I remember a sidewalk running up to the front door, where the candy canes were?? I'm probably wrong!!

That's the house. The new owner had the address changed.

Really? Wow.....

Thanks BC & Stan for the replies......

ETA: I love the exterior of this house.......

... Thanks BC and Brefie, I know that's the house, but, it just looks a little different to me. Were those pillars always there? And, I always remember a sidewalk leading up to the front door. It looks like some changes were made to the landscaping too! I do remember now that it was mentioned a while back that the house number was changed. I've lost track of everything in this case!! My mind is sure to follow!!! :D

New owners fenced it in. It is the ramsey house. It's been for sale again for a few months.

I wish I had money to burn. I'd buy that house and have it completely demolished.

Why? The house didn't hurt anybody.

Should we tear down Ford's theater or the Borden house or the Chi Omega sorority house in Florida? The older it gets the more unique it becomes. It would be sad to destroy a house because of what a human did inside.

Just my personal opinion. If that house should be preserved because of its infamous history so that people can go gawk or feel for vibes, or recreate the murder situation, etc, fine...but maybe it should be designated as something other than a private residence. Again, that's just the way I feel personally.

That picture makes the house look as if it is sitting far from the street, but it's not. There is a sidewalk in front, and the houses on either side are very very close in proximity.

Additionally if you are half way talented, you can spit across the street, it is sooo narrow. The pillars are new, and the black iron fencing.

The first family that lived in it, was a doctor I believe, and they walled over the entrance to the room where JonBenets body was found.

... Thanks Camper, I knew that house looked very different and those pillars weren't there before!! I've now gained back a little sanity!!

I don't know about bulldozing the house, but I know I wouldn't want to buy it. It has a stigma of sadness attached to it. I would be jumping at every little strange noise I heard, especially at night.More so since the crime has not been solved. My imagination would be running wild.

Isn't there a law in some states, that if a crime has been committed in a house, such as a murder, that it has to be revealed to a potential buyer?

I am not sure of todays rules etc. BUT back in the stone age when I started selling real estate, my very first listing the husband shot himself to death in the master bedroom. I being a neofight I know I mispelled it but whatever, asked my broker, it was a topic that all of the agents were curious about. HE said that since it was not a material defect to the actual real estate it need not be told.

SO I didn't and donut know how long after the family moved in and became acquainted that they may have found out. BUT on the other hand the home was on acreage and not close to neighbors, so they may never have found out, and lived happily ever after.

It wouldn't bother me to live in a house where someone was killed, even if it was a child.

My mother just sold her house in California and her realtor told her if a death had occured within a certain amount of time, (maybe 3 years?), it has to be disclosed to the new buyer. So it has a time element now.

7 bathrooms and Patsy couldn't take a shower because " her" shower was supposedly broken. GMAB!

I wonder if they drove by the ole homestead while they were in Boulder "visiting"?
