St. Joseph police issued a missing persons alert Friday morning for a 35-year-old woman and a 7-year-old child.

Sarah Butler-Young, 35, and Jasmine Robinson, 7, were both missing and considered to be possibly endangered. Police asked anyone with information to call officers at 816-271-4777.

Butler-Young is described as a white female, 5-foot-8 and 140 pounds. She has blond hair.

Jasmine is about 4-foot-2, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Young allegedly picked up Jasmine from her elementary school on Wednesday morning.

Young has exhibited mental health issues recently and paranoid behavior. She has not been at her residence and Jasmine hasn’t attended school for the past two days. One of Young’s cell phones has provided GPS coordinates in the Lee’s Summit, Mo., area.

It does appear to be mother and daughter. I wonder what is up. Hope both are safe.
This seems awfully similar to the case just the other week where the woman took her child from North Carolina and meandered around the South Central US before turning up in St. Louis - at least the part about mental health and paranoia. But ... I haven't started digging yet to see what the lay of the land is in terms of whether there is associated court activity or other stuff lurking in the background.

Here`s the link for MO courts. A search under her hyphenated name will not produce results so try the last names individually, specifically the second last name. ;)

There are 18 pages of Sarah Young at that link. Did I miss something, because I didn't see anything I could say it is her case. Although, I did not search through each individual case specifics. I'm sure it is me just being blurry eyed!

You can narrow the search down by putting in the year and getting the most recent results.

I apologize if the previous post was elusive..

MO State Highway Patrol is the gatekeeper for the missing persons state database. You`ll find too, they publish the persons dob.

Then search for the same name that`s listed above

Also, St. Joseph is in Buchanan County.

The link to their assessor is http://buchananmo.devnetwedge.com

Per their site she has owned her home since 2013.

Any reason why she only took off with only one of her children? Is there a clue at all in that?

Unfortunately, LE hasn`t released ANY other details. If one of her cell phones pinged in Lee`s Summit then that`s concerning because it`s approximately 76 miles from her home in St Joseph. Wish we knew more, especially since she picked up Jasmine from school at 8 am. Isn`t that a common drop-off time? There`s a lot missing and LE in that area, IMO are typically not forthcoming to the public with details. Let`s hope they have more to go on that we`re not aware of.
