LEWISBURG, W. Va. (WVNS) -- Troopers with West Virginia State Police are looking for a missing girl last seen at the Super 8 Motel in Lewisburg.

Police said on Wednesday that Nicole Lynn Hall, 14, could be with Christopher Rider, 27, heading towards California or Florida in a silver colored sedan.

Hall is a white girl with brown eyes and blonde hair. She is 5'8 and weighs around 104-pounds. Few details have been released on the nature of her disappearance.

The Greenbrier County Sheriff's Department is investigating, along with West Virginia State Police. If you have any information, call 911.

Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 14-year-old juvenile.

A juvenile is missing from Greenbrier County and is believed to be with a convicted sexual predator.

Nicole Hall, 14, was last seen in Greenbrier County and is believed to be with a Christopher Rider, a convicted sexual predator, who is wanted on felony warrants.

Apparently the second person named - Charles Krafft - is not with them.

The sheriff's department initially also named 21-year-old Charles Krafft, but he took to Facebook on Wednesday evening to deny being with them. "Everyone I am not with them last I heard Tuesday they was heading to Florida," he wrote in reply to the sheriff's office. The amber alert that went out a short time later no longer included Krafft's name.

BBM This makes it sound as if she was staying at the hotel with family and abducted from there? I hope she is found safe.

I read through most of the comments on the Sheriff's post and so far the Sheriff office has NOT cleared him. Kraft is commenting on Facebook and replying to messages and saying he is not with them but he not yet contacted the Sheriff's office in person to confirm/prove it. Sheriff is replying to comments and last one I saw said Kraft has not been cleared and should stay on the missing poster.

Also, whats her family situation? (I'm not expecting anyone to answer these questions - I know most of them are unknown right now, I'm just staying what I'm thinking)
 
I haven't seen any coverage from her parents either. Or his?

I know someone will comment on why I put sex offender in quotes. It's because the term has become meaningless in our current society. A man caught drunkingly urinating in a bush after a night of drinking can and has been arrested and convicted as a "sex offender." Same goes for the 18yo boy dating a 16 or 17yo girl who the parents don't like, so he is arrested for statutory rape and put on the "sex offender" registry. It's a buzz word now and no longer has meaning. So that's why I put it in quotes.

In any event. I really hope this is a case of a stupid teenager who thinks they are "in love" and so ran off together and she is in no actual danger.

For now, this is the information we have from law enforcement so this is what we are using to discuss this Amber Alert.

If it changes we will change the information on this thread.

Nicole is 14. She cannot consent in the eyes of the law. Therefore he is considered her "abductor".

From what we know now this is anything but a couple of kids in love. This guy is 27 years old. The police say he is a sexual offender, he is on parole and police consider him violent.

While I agree that we need to re-evaluate some people on the sex offender registry let's save the argument .. Right now we need to concentrate on Nichole.

This is not up for debate. Please no one respond. Move on and keep on the topic of Nichole please
 
Can we get his parole dates? Maybe that can help determine the connection between the two.
