Cheyann L. Klus, 22, was last seen Nov. 27 at her home in Downers Grove. Klus was described as a 5-foot-5, 115-pound woman with brown hair and brown eyes, the sheriff’s office said.

Investigators found out she went to Chicago the night of Dec. 1 into Dec. 2, where she was in the 2100 block of North Kilbourn.

She was arrested in September, fairly minor charge but arrested with her was a man who is a convicted felon and recently finished a prison sentence in California (drug manufacturing/possession).

The day she was last seen, a man posted pictures of her on her FB timeline. <modsnip>

Looks like family posting on her Facebook: https://m.facebook.com/cheyann.klus?ref=content_filter

The police are aware the man she was last hanging out with, is a convicted felon, drug user, and drug manufacturer and posts with an alias. <modsnip - not victim friendly> He continues to post on her FB page <modsnip - accusing someone not named as a suspect>

Whether it's drugs or a bad guy with bad decisions, she's missing.
It's Christmas and I can't imagine that if she could she would have contacted her family.
Law enforcement has gone silent. Was she proven to be in a bad neighborhood by phone records/pings? There by choice? Or not?
Here's a link to the NonProfit Charity Missing Persons Organization in Illinois for Cheyann's case

MSM said she was last known to be in the 2100 block of North Kilbourn. That is NOT a neighborhood you would want to be in by choice. There are a few spots where people have bought homes and fixed them up nicely. But still, on the cities gang tracker that area is color coded as red for being extremely dangerous. We give that whole area of the city a very wide berth when driving anywhere day or night.

If she has been missing for a month and was last seen in a very bad area with a convicted felon/drug user etc. than I don't think this is going to have a happy ending.

Jmo.

On her fb, linked upthread, I noticed a post March 6th, 2016 stating she turned 21 but didn't drink and hadn't had a drink in months. I wonder if that was just a personal choice or if she had prior issues with alcohol abuse.

Her father last saw her on the 27th. She would have contacted family during holiday. Prayers for her and her family.

She was last seen in 'K-Town' (the nickname for that area of the West Side of Chicago where most of N-S streets names begin with the letter 'K'), which is an incredibly dangerous area of the city - that area averages around 20-30 murders/month. It's the place to go if you're in a gang, looking for drugs, or involved in something illegal.

I made an account to reply to this thread - I'm normally just a WS lurker, but I actually know this family and I feel like I can give a lot more insight into this case for everyone.

<modsnip - sharing inside knowledge w/o insider verification> where she was last seen is high-traffic heroin area. K-Town is known for massive amounts of drug sales. That information might lead one to believe that she may be willfully missing; <modsnip - sharing inside knowledge w/o insider verification> I really think something may have happened to her.

This is so sad. I hope she is unharmed and comes back to her family.

Just checking in. I was hoping for good news; but nothing.

This is the general area. Notice how north of there all the streets have a K. The formal name for the neighborhood is Hermosa

Cross reference with gang trackers and you'll see this is right in Latin gang territory (around Kings and Disciples) like https://www.wbez.org/shows/wbez-new.../0d956c2e-171a-483a-8666-f5228d98812d#gangmap
