The Jacksonville Beach Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a missing woman.

Suzanne Marie Carlson, 35, is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 100 pounds, with blonde hair and green eyes.

Police said she was last seen around 3 a.m. Thursday knocking on her neighbors doors in The Sanctuary community.

Residents called police who responded quickly but were not able to locate her, according to Chief Patrick Dooley of the Jacksonville Police Department.

Her car was found at her home, Dooley says, but her purse was not there.

She was reported missing Thursday by her fiance' who works on a tugboat and returned from a trip Thursday evening.

He says he last spoke with her around 6 p.m. Wednesday, according to police.

She was out knocking on doors at 3a.m.? Had she gone out and come back home buzzed? Was someone chasing her?! This is creepy.

Police spent Friday afternoon searching through a heavily wooded area near her Sanctuary Lake neighborhood.

Suzanne Marie Carlson was last seen about 3:15 a.m. Thursday both on video and in person going door-to-door ringing doorbells and knocking on doors in her community. Carlson moved to South Jacksonville Beach a few months ago.

“She was very irrational and they couldn’t understand what she was saying,” Police Chief Patrick Dooley said. “So they said we are going to call the police and that is what they did.”

Dooley said police arrived about six minutes later and the woman was gone.

We are very concerned about her,” the chief said. “It is very unusual behavior for her to just disappear or anything like this. This has never happened before so we are obviously very concerned for her well-being and we are checking all avenues.”

Could this possibly be the same person? What do fellow sleuthers think? Same height, weight, approx age, hair colored blonde, one listed as hazel eyes the other green...Drug issues and disappearing... But I could be way off.

They do resemble each other but unless she lied about her age after going missing the first time the age is off by 4 years. Most women, if changing their age, would make themselves younger, not older. But there is a decided resemblance.

Nice catch Ray_of_hope, but I don't think so. I couldn't find a FB page for Carlson which seems a tad odd. It appears they've done a lot of searching for her. Would love to get more detailed information re boyfriend, family, job, etc.

Yes, I could be way off and probably am, but I did call in tip just in case and also called reporter. They can find out a lot more than I can. The article said that Suzanne had family coming in Friday (yesterday) so that could put an end to any of my speculation. It was just so weird when I was scrolling through missing persons and I saw that face and realized I saw one very similar on the news. I don't want to waste LE's time and resources but I couldn't find a FB page either and the circumstances and appearance were striking to me. Thanks though, Razz and GraceG for taking a look. I appreciate your input. :)

Yep, definitely a creepy one! Her selfie reminds me of Christina Morris. The shower left running is a very strange twist in her story.

The front door was unlocked, the garage door was open, 2 screen doors were open, the shower was running and Carlson's car keys were there, according to a police report.

Search ongoing for her, she seems to have acted confused before leaving

Thinking she could have had something neurological going on with her since no one could understand what she was trying to say. Maybe a stroke with speech being similar to word salad.

Word salad is a "confused or unintelligible mixture of seemingly random words and phrases", most often used to describe a symptom of a neurological or mental disorder. The words may or may not be grammatically correct, but are semantically confused to the point that the listener cannot extract any meaning from them.

Maybe she had taken a sleeping pill.
Don't know if they still prescribe this but it can cause people to do some seriously strange stuff.

Also, why didn't police check her home that night for heaven's sake! For all they knew, she may have returned home.

I don't know. Maybe someone was terrorizing her and she was scared out of her wits.

I'm hoping the boyfriend and parents can shed some light on past behavior.
Seems like a decent place to live. Did she work?

Can boyfriend verify he got back when he said he did?

Too many unanswered questions.

Just watched the updates from yesterday with the Chief of Police.
(The one at 1:00 pm and the other at 4:00 pm.)

Some interesting things:

1). She was unemployed

2). She was engaged to her boyfriend and he has an apt. in Jacksonville

3). There had been a previous call to that home in early Dec. for a well being check. He was vague but said nothing came of it.

4). He said there may be "issues" of some kind but would not elaborate.

5). She moved to the home in October.
She has lived in Jacksonville and somewhere up north for periods of time.

Yes, News4Jax said that she had missed work a couple of days and that is one of the reasons for the well check. I believe it was on the 10pm news last night.

This is very frightening. I hope residents continue to check their video security cameras.

I'm not understanding if she was employed in early December and then fired for not showing to work for a couple of days? If I am understanding correctly, there were 2 well checks made in December.

Her fiance' probably made good money working on a tugboat.

Whoa! This tweet says fiance' called off the wedding and that was the reason for the welfare check earlier this month.

Thank you Jax! I was hoping you would show up! Thanks for the update!

Hi Boots. Nice to "see" you. After hearing about the cancelled wedding I'm thinking this won't involve foul play. moo
