Hi admins and mods,

You do an excellent job at running the forum.

However, I suggest you also chime in for some kudos when members behave well in a difficult situation.
Your interventions are often associated with bad news. I can easily be afraid of doing something wrong with you.

Balancing your interventions with kudos would go a long way. It also strengthens your autority: you can enforce order and congratulating when a member does something right.

Mods and admins, you are beyond the board police. You are also teachers, board guides.
I'd gladly welcome positive moderation.

Another suggestion is saying what the member can do to correct a mistake.
Similar to "please shut the door" instead of "don't leave the door open".
It'll be easier to comply with your requests by stating what you want, rather than "don't".

Forbidding is part of your authority job.
But how about stating also what is allowed ?
We can moderate and keep order introducing more "do" sentences and less "not" sentences for some balance.

The rules are the same.
Changing the way they are conveyed would be helpful.
