Police Seek Publics Help Identifying Female Murder Victim Found Last Night

Detectives from the Charles County Sheriffs Office are hoping to identify the victim of a homicide whose body was found last night on Old Washington Road near Smallwood Drive in Waldorf. Unfortunately she did not have any identification on her person when she was located.

The victim, who is described as a black female possibly in her late 30s to 40s, had two distinct tattoos: a cherub and a design. The Cherub Angel Tattoo, is on her left shoulder blade. A design of some sorts is on her right inner wrist.

She was wearing a black top with gray leggings.
Anyone who believes they may know the victim based on this description, is asked to call 301-932-2222.

Tamar McNight Johnson. Over the age estimate a little, no mention of tattoos and the time frame is too long I think at Dec 27. Color of clothing matches but reversed for shirt/pants.

The Charles County Sheriff’s Office says a resident called police at around 8:50 p.m. Thursday after finding the victim on Old Washington Road near Smallwood Drive.

The woman was found with trauma to the body and pronounced dead at the scene.

Identified - Swanda Ruegenea Dunn

On Saturday, police revealed that the woman was 57-year-old Swanda Ruegenea Dunn and they believe she was stabbed to death by her son, 32-year-old Mario Marchell Dunn.

Police say the 32-year-old "is accused of stabbing his mother while they were driving home from a relatives house" and then dumped her body at Old Washington Road near Smallwood Drive.

The Charles County Sheriff's Office says the 32-year-old was also arrested on Thursday.
