Likely scenario: Poor kiddo was attracted to the water like many autistic kids are.

Tinfoil hat crazy, least likely scenario: Family wanted the kid to have American school and health services for his disability and cooked up a missing story to get enough time to get kid back into the States.

Some snippets from Google translate-- headline says they have spent 70 hours looking for James
The official report states that the child left his home in the
street Ribera del Cañón 452, from stage 6, around 7 pm on Sunday
In addition authorities of the Municipal Police, Public Prosecutor,
Civil Protection and relatives have traveled nearby streets where his
disappearance in search of the child, however, so far have only been found
their tennis on the edge of an irrigation channel near the colony where he lives.

Not sure what the BBM means? They found his shoes near the irrigation canal? Or they found his footprints?
Either way, signs near water are BAD!

His dad, Hugo Camacho-Padilla, said he left James under the care of his grandma for about 10 minutes while he went to a neighbor's house.

James doesn't speak much because of his autism, and his dad said he probably kept "walking and walking."

The boy's mother says she is homeless living in Marysville (Washington State) and is trying to raise money to go to Mexico.

The search has expanded from eastern Juárez into Loma Blanca, El Millón and other small communities in the Valley of Juárez.

On Friday, Juárez police officials said they met in El Paso with representatives of the U.S. Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement regarding the case.

"We are all dismayed and worried," Juárez Mayor Armando Cabada said in a Facebook post Wednesday. "Please do not give up, do not get discouraged by so much*speculation*on*social media*and stay alert*in case you see him. But most importantly, continue with your prayers."

[h=1]BREAKING: Family identifies remains of missing US boy found in Juarez[/h]
CIUDAD JUAREZ, Chihuahua, Mexico - Authorities Wednesday confirmed the body of a missing U.S. boy was found in Ciudad Juarez after weeks of searching.

Chihuahua State investigators revealed in a news conference James Martin Camacho Padilla died of hypothermia. His body had no signs of violence. His family identified his remains.
The owner of the cotton field found the body Tuesday around 2 p.m in the Riberas Del Bravo neighborhood, the same area where the boy vanished.

The autopsy revealed the boy died 10 days ago. Investigators say the case remains open as they want to find out where the boy was for 20 days.
His family, Mexican authorities and the Juarez community came together to search for the boy while he was missing. El Diario reported that people said they had searched that same cotton field before and didn't find anything at the time.

The boy's body didn't spend a long time in the cotton field, according to Juarez officials. He didn't show signs of decomposition as if he had spend time outdoors.
Nava Lopez been in the agency for 16 years and he'd never seen a case like this one.
"He could've been with another person, he could've sought shelter on his own. Those are the two main hypotheses, but we can't rule anything out," he said.
